The use of alternative medicine is becoming very widespread.
Why might this be so?

- Why might alternative medicine cause concern for some people?

Alternative medicine,as in like reflexology and stuff like that.
I think it grows due to the growth of religions and beliefs.
The main cause would be belief.
Just like some people believe acupuncture helps in healing while others believe ayurvedha(INDIAN TREATMENT INVOLVING HERBS)
helps in healing.
It depends on how the mind reacts to different treatments.
Just like what MISS.CHEE said,''If you believe it works then it will.''
It could spread also due to religious legends involving the certain treatment.
This might also change the mindsets of people.
There are also advantages in these alternative treatments.
While western treatments mostly involve machines which we might have see in
''MEN IN BLACK'' or ''ALIEN vs PREDATOR'',most alternative treatments involve natural items.
For eg.herbs and spices might have hidden qualities that might even help prevent injuries rather than curing them.
It might cause concern for some people as they might think alternative treatments are
dangerous and risky.
Anyway how is putting your body under a machine that can be considered a weapon safe?However some people might even be allergic to some alternatives treatments involving herbs or natural products.
